Part Time Diet Technician

Job Description Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Part-Time Diet Technician at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in dowtown Dallas, Texas. This is a great way to gain nutrition experience with the clinical dietitian team if you plan to pursue a RD credential or other healthcare field in the future. Schedule: Approximately 1- 3 Days per Week. Weekday and weekend coverage needed. Job Responsibilities Completes calorie counts and menu selections for inpatients in a hospital settingPresents nutrition and diet education to patients and their caregiversAttend weekly interdisciplinary team meetingsChecks trays for accuracy of menu itemsResponsive to customer needs and provides world-class service to customers and clients by following Aramark's service modelMaintains the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for Aramark's employees, clients, consumers, shareholders, and the communityChecks menus for compliance with diet order/updates non-select menus for patientsParticipates in Quality Control and Quality Assurance data collectionCompletes online learning and other training as assigned At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics, requiredNDTR (National Dietetic Technician Registered) credential preferredPrevious food service experience in healthcare setting preferredAbility to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workersAbility to maintain a contagious and positive work ethic and inspire others Conditions of employment may or may not include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
