Part Time Deli Clerk

About the role

Cub Lakeville South off Heritage Dr. is seeking a Part Time Deli Clerk to join their team. The Deli team prepares and finishes products like meats, salads, and prepared foods to meet department standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists with food preparation.
• Provides accurate, prompt, and courteous customer service.
• Sets, fills, and rotates deli cases and displays.
• Aids in receiving of product.
• Breaks down department and performs cleaning duties.
• Fulfills all store and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Equipment operation (compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, pizza oven).
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills.
• On-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
• Good judgment required for non-immediate supervision.
• Able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be 18 years of age and older.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions.
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
