Part Time Deli

Cub Plymouth Rockford Road at Nathan Lane is seeking a dedicated part-time deli team member to prepare and finish products such as meats, salads, and prepared foods to department standards for customer selection. This role combines customer service and attention to detail to provide safe, reliable, and consistent products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation
• Provide customers with accurate, prompt, and courteous service
• Set, fill, and rotate deli cases and displays
• Assist in receiving product
• Break down department and perform cleaning duties
• Follow all store and department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Operate equipment including compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, and pizza oven
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil
