Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer (Fine Art)

About the role

Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer posts for the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme for the academic year 2026/27.

Subject Areas

The candidate should have experience in at least two of the following subjects:

• Painting / Drawing
• Printmaking
• Sculpture
• Ceramics
• Mixed Media
• Installation Art
• Photography
• Moving Image / Video Art
• Digital Art / Generative Art
• Research analysis and academic writing

Responsibilities

• Conduct lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops and project supervision at the bachelor’s degree level;
• Carry out academic related administration duties, including setting and marking assignments, moderation, serving in academic and other related meetings;
• Develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
• Coordinate guest lectures;
• Participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.

Requirements

• A recognised master’s degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification in the relevant subject areas;
• At least 4 years’ relevant teaching / work experience in the respective field(s);
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English;
• Good interpersonal and strong problem-solving skills;
• Preference will be given to candidates who have teaching experience in tertiary education.

Note: Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
