(Part -Time Day Shift) Warehouse Worker

What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal Health: Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution environment, including warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. It ensures the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to customer shipment.

About the role

The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists with Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. This role involves receiving products in the Inbound section and shipping products in the Outbound section.

Responsibilities

• Unloads trucks in the Inbound section using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to move pallets.
• Uses Manhattan Warehouse Management System or IBS to check in products; follows regulations for storing refrigerated specialty products.
• Stores products in warehouse locations using order pickers or other devices.
• Picks products from warehouse locations and loads them into outbound trucks.

• Able to multi-task and apply acquired knowledge to complete standard tasks.
• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work.
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
• Works on routine assignments requiring some problem resolution within defined procedures.
• Adheres to quality guidelines under moderate supervision with regular output review.
• Refers complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working at heights of 20-30 ft regularly.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

High School Diploma or GED preferred. We welcome candidates with little to no warehouse experience; all training is provided starting on the first day.

Pay

Anticipated hourly range: $19.00 – $19.60 per hour. Pay is determined by factors including geographical location, education, experience, skills, and internal pay equity.

Schedule

Tuesday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
