Part-Time Custodian/Maintenance

About the role

This role involves providing janitorial and maintenance services for tribal buildings, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, offices, and hallways, as well as grounds maintenance and safety checks. Work may be scheduled during evenings and weekends, with potential emergency or severe weather duties.

Responsibilities

• Disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, and garbage removal
• Performing periodic tasks like floor waxing and carpet shampooing
• Maintaining safe, clean walkways and public areas
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Adapting to each building's specific cleaning needs
• Completing reports as required

Qualifications

• Knowledge of facility maintenance and safety practices
• Good communication skills
• Minimum age of 18
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Physically capable of manual labor
• Ability to travel between sites
• Professionalism, respectful conduct, and positive interaction with others

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Work experience as a janitor or custodian is desirable
• Subject to background checks and drug testing
• Indian preference applies for qualified applicants
