About the Role
A custodian responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and security at school facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, gyms, and grounds
- Operate cleaning equipment
- Report safety hazards and maintenance needs
- Secure buildings by locking and unlocking doors
- Manage supplies and inventory
- Clean windows, furniture, and fixtures
- Respond to emergency spills
- Participate in major cleaning projects
- Assist with special events setup
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of custodial methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to perform physical labor
- Follow safety procedures
- Communicate effectively
- Perform minor repairs
- Understand schedules and maintain tools
- Observe security protocols
Requirements
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent; experience or demonstrated progress toward G.E.D. is acceptable.
