Job Description

• Prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals for Center residents by following menus provided by the Kitchen Manager
• Clean up kitchen and dining area after all meals during your assigned work hours
• Maximize use of donated food in meal preparation
• Ensure that Intake staff has access to sack lunches and snacks for residents before the end of his/her shift
• Food items for residents should be taken to the Intake area or put in the Staff Lounge
• Receive, observe, and properly store and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies
• Avoid waste and assist Kitchen Manager with ordering products
• Assist Kitchen Manager with employee scheduling to ensure proper coverage
• Help train new kitchen staff as needed
• Support other janitorial and housekeeping staff as needed
• Direct concerns regarding residents to Kitchen Manager only; Keep information about residents of the Center and their contact with the Center confidential
• Avoid sharing resident information outside of the Center
