(PART-TIME) COOK
Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC), a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through trained programming, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment, and provides opportunities for positive change and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential dormitories, an on-site school and library, vocational training, a chapel, gymnasium, medical facilities, and outdoor recreation areas.
About the role
As a Part-Time Cook, you will prepare and serve nutritious, great-tasting meals for youth and staff at the facility. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area while working collaboratively as part of the food services team. Training is provided, and candidates with previous food service experience and/or a current ServSafe certification may be eligible to start above the entry-level pay rate.

Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Current ServSafe certificate
- Kitchen experience, preferably in a residential setting
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical, and TB test
- Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
- Clean driving record and active driver’s license
Pay
$16.00–$17.17 per hour based on education and experience.
Schedule
Part-Time only, up to 25 hours per week.
