Part-Time Content Creator

We’re looking for a part-time content creator to join our team in Charlottesville! In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic and compelling content across various social platforms to support our clients’ digital marketing campaigns (and Hive’s too!). You’ll work with our in-house photographer to shoot, edit, and publish photo and video content across multiple client accounts; manage social platforms; and support our account teams on everything from strategy to client reporting. ResponsibilitiesCreate high-quality, engaging social media and digital content (photos, graphics, short-form videos) that aligns with our clients’ brands and marketing goals.Build and manage monthly content calendars, then schedule and publish across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms.Work with Hive's team to develop creative campaigns for us!Stay updated on industry trends and gather insights to inform content creation. Brainstorm and contribute fresh content ideas and continued recommendations to our team regarding the latest trends and social media best practices.Monitor accounts, engage with communities, and flag comments or issues that need a client response.Support paid social campaigns, including building creative and helping set up and monitor Meta Ads.Assist account managers with tracking and analyzing content performance to understand its impact and recommend improvements.Provide account team support: client communication, meeting notes, project tracking, asset organization, and keeping deliverables on schedule. Qualifications2+ years of experience creating social media content for businesses – at an agency, as part of an in-house marketing team, or as a freelancerExtensive knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok (LinkedIn is a bonus)Strong photo and video editing skillsProficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator)Solid writing skills and the ability to adapt tone to different brands’ voicesExcellent time management and organization skills – able to juggle multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines within set budgetsU.S. driver’s license and transportationA strong work ethic, a team mentality, and a positive, energetic attitude! Schedule and CompensationThis is a hybrid position. You’ll work from our Crozet office two days per week, plus occasional on-site shoots and client meetings in the Central Virginia area. The rest of the week is remote.$20 – $25 per hour.
