Part-Time Classroom Aide
Job Summary
Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic School is seeking a caring and dependable Part-Time Classroom Aide to support teachers and students in a faith-filled learning environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily educational activities.
- Provide support to individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
- Aid in preparing classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch periods, recess, and other assigned times.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Support students with assignments, projects, and classroom tasks.
- Encourage positive behavior and model Christian values consistent with the mission of the school.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administrators to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student, family, and school information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or principal.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or related setting preferred.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to support classroom instruction and student learning.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic computer and technology skills.
