Part Time Childcare Educator (Seeds of Health - Milwaukee 53215)

About the role
As a Part Time Childcare Educator, you will drive our mission by delivering dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities
- Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations
- Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
- Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
- Use your coursework training and our in-person training to foster a safe environment for children to explore and grow
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
Requirements
- 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 240 hours or more working in a licensed childcare facility as an assistant
- One of the following:
- 2 non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education
- 2 credits in early childhood and one noncredit department-approved course in early childhood
- A certificate from the WI registry as a child care teacher
- Completed Staff Health Report and clear TB test within 30 days of hire date (can be used if completed within the past 12 months)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
- Ability to lift 25 lbs

$15–18 per hour

Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM–6:00 PM
