Educator Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. About the role

You will drive the mission by leading daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating daily activities, and leading by example. You will prioritize safety and joy, monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel, is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
  • Washington Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, complete First Aid and CPR training, cleared tuberculosis test, Food Handlers Card, Proof of MMR, 18+ years of age, Proof of High School diploma/GED, Background Check with fingerprinting.

Pay

$18-20/hr (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Both shifts required for the Educator role - substitute positions available. Before School Shift: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:45am- 9am and Wed 5:45am-10am
After School: Mon- Fri 3:15pm-6pm
