About the role

The Old Colony YMCA seeks an Assistant Teacher to support the daily operations of its childcare center in Brockton. This role involves assisting the Child Care Teacher in creating a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the program and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children.
• Lead and monitor activities throughout the day to promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.
• Support the implementation of the YMCA’s mission and values in the childcare setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required
• Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a cohesive team
