Part Time Certified Nurse Aide

Starting pay: $19.00–$21.00 an hour depending on availability and experience.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, experienced caregivers who are passionate about helping others to join our team. Positions are available throughout the local area, including Elk Grove, Sacramento, Del Paso, North Highlands, Pocket, and Greenhaven.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation, including getting around the house, visiting the doctor, and taking walks
• Acting quickly in the case of medical emergencies and reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the U.S.
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes
• Physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
• Willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days
• Ability to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Ability to pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry
