Part-Time CCA (School-Age Program)

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and caring Child Care Assistant to join our team and help create a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where school-age children can learn, play, and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and fun
• Provide positive supervision and guidance to school-age children during play, recreational activities, and transitions
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and personal development by encouraging independence, confidence, and positive interactions
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels respected, supported, and a sense of belonging
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators through respectful communication and collaboration
• Encourage children to develop problem-solving, communication, cooperation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Work as part of a caring and supportive team committed to providing a positive and engaging child care experience

Requirements

• A genuine passion for working with school-age children and supporting their growth and well-being
• Positive energy, patience, creativity, and a willingness to participate in children’s activities and daily adventures
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to create positive relationships with children while providing appropriate guidance and boundaries
• A commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child and family feels welcome and valued
• Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a part-time child care setting
• Experience working with children in a child care, school, recreation, camp, or similar setting is an asset
