Part Time Cashier

Role Overview: This position involves operating a cash register and electronic scanner to process customer purchases, handle various payment methods, and assist with bagging items while providing courteous customer service. Key Responsibilities Operate cash register, handle a variety of products including groceries, produce, and meats.Process financial transactions accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, and government assistance programs.Weigh and bag customer items, ensure proper use of POS equipment, and maintain store displays.Communicate store programs, promotions, and coupons to customers, and uphold high service standards.Follow policies on security, cash handling, product handling, and safety protocols.Maintain cleanliness and stock levels, assist with department organization, and adhere to food safety standards.Perform additional tasks in other departments as needed, following safety and guest experience guidelines. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous retail experience is a plus.Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic proficiency. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently, occasionally up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments.
