Part Time Cashier

Role Overview: This position involves operating a cash register and electronic scanner to process customer purchases, handle various payment methods, and assist with bagging items while providing courteous customer service. Key Responsibilities Operate checkout equipment for a range of products including groceries, produce, and meats.Process transactions accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, and government assistance programs.Weigh, bag, and ensure proper product identification and pricing.Communicate store programs, specials, and coupons to customers.Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.Assist with stocking and other department tasks as needed.Follow safety, food safety, and customer service guidelines. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred.Prior retail experience is advantageous.Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Physical & Environment Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperature conditions.
