Part Time Cashier

About the role

Roseville West Cub is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a part time cashier position! Cashiers at Cub follows front end checkout procedures in all transactions, maintaining positive customer relations, and expedient processing of all orders. This position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service!

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
• Perform product scanning and processing of customer order in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner
• Ensure properly handling of all forms of tender and coupons
• Ensure accurate handling of all voids, returns, refunds and exchanges
• Assist with customer questions or requests
• Assist with front end maintenance and cleaning

Requirements

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing and math
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age and older
• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
