Part-Time Caregiver for Seniors
About the role
Senior Helpers Portland West, a family-owned and operated company, is hiring part-time caregivers to support seniors in central and south Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Tigard, Wilsonville, Sherwood, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Follow a care plan to assist seniors with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, safe mobility, and staying active
- Perform light housekeeping and prepare nutritious meals
- Provide companionship through meaningful conversations and activities
- Transport clients to appointments, stores, social events, and more
- Foster client independence, monitor health, and keep family members informed
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Dependable, caring, patient, empathetic, and genuinely interested in working with seniors
- Strong communicator who can build trust with clients and their families
- Willingness and ability to perform personal care as needed
- Physical capability to assist clients with mobility as needed
- Willingness and ability to drive clients on errands (must have a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date auto insurance)
- Previous professional or personal caregiving experience preferred
