Part-time Cafeteria Attendant-6hrs-7:30am-1:30pm-New Mission High School / Boston Community Leadership Academy Upper Grades-FNS (SY26-27)

Responsibilities

• Safe preparation and handling of food
• Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities
• Serving of food
• Aiding with record keeping
• Attending training meetings as required
• Reporting to work as scheduled
• Notifying the manager and the main office when unable to work
• Maintaining pleasant working relations with fellow employees
• Following all policies of the School Committee and instructions of the Cafeteria Manager
• Performing duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, and serving of food
• Aiding with food preparation
• Portioning food
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and work area including floor
• Serving food on line after receiving instructions as to portion size
• Washing dishes, trays, flatware, pots, pans and utensils
• Washing dining room tables
• Unpacking supplies and assisting with stocking dry storage shelves and/or refrigerator shelves
• Operating equipment properly, maintaining safety standards at all times
• Performing duties as assigned by Cafeteria Manager

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current authorization to work in the United States
• Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment
• Preferred: ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate
