Part-Time Buyer

About the Role

This is a part-time onsite position, approximately 3 days per week in the Strip District area of Pittsburgh. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction through timely and accurate delivery of products
• Advise operating departments of potential problems meeting quality and delivery dates
• Manage the complete purchasing process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and resolving purchasing discrepancies
• Enter and maintain daily receiving information, purchase orders, and related transactions in the ERP/inventory system on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Serve as the central point of contact for purchasing and inventory inquiries, maintaining clear and professional communication with internal departments, customers, and suppliers
• Analyze quotes, compare supplier options, and make purchasing decisions that optimize cost, quality, and delivery
• Process Vendor RMA's
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations
• New Vendor Setup Documentation
• Assist with monthly and annual physical inventory counts

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience
• Manufacturing Buyer experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft skills (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
• SAP knowledge preferred, not required
