Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the right HVAC/R products and supplies; provide expert advice, product information, and recommendations.
• Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly; handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
• Maintain a deep understanding of HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing; stay up to date with industry trends and new product releases.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sales floor; conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to the store manager.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting and finding solutions to technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment and components.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized counter area; ensure a safe working environment for customers and colleagues.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for customer transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims.
• Occasional travel to various locations for training sessions, professional development, meetings, or other work-related activities (advance notice provided).

Qualifications

Required:

• Prior experience in customer service.
• Prior leadership roles with profit and loss responsibility preferred.
• Experience leading people in a retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly grow sales in a retail environment.
• Experience building and maintaining cross-functional relationships.
• Experience analyzing and using customer, market, and competitor data to make informed decisions and business planning.

Preferred:

• Experience working with HVAC contractors strongly desired.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications.
