Responsibilities
- Own invoicing & billing: generate/send client invoices, track due dates, follow up on late payments.
- Handle reconciliation: match transactions, reconcile bank/credit card statements weekly.
- Manage A/R & A/P: record payments, log vendor bills, prep simple payment runs.
- Maintain clean books: categorize expenses, attach receipts, keep vendor/client records current.
- Produce simple reports: weekly cash-in/cash-out snapshot; month-end P&L export for leadership/CPA.
- Cookbook docs: collect W-9s, organize 1099 vendor list, file docs for tax prep.
- Light process upkeep: keep our chart of accounts tidy; suggest small fixes that save time.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of small-business bookkeeping (agency, production, or creative studio a plus).
- Comfortable with QuickBooks Online, Google Sheets/Excel, and receipt tools.
- Detail-driven, trustworthy with sensitive financial data, and clear communicator.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Texas sales tax basics and 1099 vendor management.
