Part Time Before and After School Educator (Cedar Hill)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in 17 states. This position supports schools and gives parents peace of mind by fostering a love of learning.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Maintain a safe and engaging environment for children
• Regularly meet with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with adults and children
• Ability to model professional standards when interacting with students, parents, staff, and community
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements, including FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, and Cleared TB
• At least 18 years of age

• Experience in a similar role preferred but not required
• Passion for education and child development

Pay

$15-$18 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Split shift schedule: Monday through Friday, Before and After School program from 6 am to 8 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm (schedule may vary slightly)
