Part-Time Banquet Server (Hospitality)

About the role
The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring part-time Banquet Servers at Three Leaf Catering and the Morris Inn in the campus Hospitality department. UOES oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare table service for functions as directed by the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server
- Follow written specifications provided by the events department
- Participate in equipment removal following meal service
- Professionally serve banquet functions, including serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests in accordance with Morris Inn methods and service standards
- Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food
- Assist with coffee break service at the Notre Dame Conference Center
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition
Requirements
- Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
- Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products
Pay
$17.50 per hour plus gratuity
