About the Role

Join our Store Operations Team as a Part-Time Associate (Overnight Load Crew) in San Diego. This role is key to our success, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves with fresh food, and creating a great shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned store sections, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise.
• Ensure proper pricing, product rotation, and stocking of shelves, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale and set up promotional displays.
• Review invoices and bills for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in store interior, exterior, and parking lot.
• Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle refunds (with management approval).
• Verify customer eligibility for alcoholic beverage sales.
• Assist customers with information, loading purchases, and providing courteous service.
• Perform basic bookkeeping, record lost/damaged goods, and manage store supplies.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and interact in English with the public and coworkers.
• Comprehend instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and memos.
• Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
