About the role

The Part-time Associate at Smart & Final 317 La Puente is a crucial member of the store operations team. This position offers the opportunity to provide excellent customer service while contributing to the community.

Responsibilities

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers
• Interpret product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds
• Maintain a store section as assigned, including receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining merchandise, checking product date codes, and setting up promotional displays
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all areas of the store and parking lot
• Operate a cash register, process payments, refunds, and verify customer eligibility for alcohol sales
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers
• Load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, such as recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies

Pay
