Part Time Assistant Manager - Storage Property

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through marketing channels; boost sales with rentals, insurance, and moving supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and guiding new customers through rental processes.
• Resolve issues professionally and positively.
• Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units; keep well-organized records and perform minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections.
• Shop local competitors in-person and online; report rates and specials to supervisors and other departments; perform additional marketing functions as needed.
• Monitor rates, specials, and revenue-related factors.
• Perform daily administrative tasks including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits, and completing auctions according to policy and laws.
• If at a participating location, assist tenants with completing, processing, and returning rentals through programs such as U-Haul, Penske, or company-owned rental truck services.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in sales or a retail environment preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred.
• At least one year of property management experience preferred.
• A background screening will be conducted at the time of hire.
• For positions involving driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
