Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 2

About the role

We’re looking for a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to join our team at Hot Topic. This role involves supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, recruiting, and developing a passionate team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals
• Recruit, develop, and retain a super collaborative, passionate team to run the store
• Create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products, use social media platforms, and additional benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup
• Lead the store’s operations, balancing tasks like payroll, reporting, scheduling, and merchandising
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategies to hit sales targets
• Messy the store in a compelling way, leveraging planograms as a guide, while launching all promos on time

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Able to navigate the store, merchandise product using approved store equipment, and pack/unpack boxes of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds

Hot Topic offers a competitive compensation package starting at $19 - $21.85 per hour, with other factors determining the final salary for potential new hires.
