Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

About the role

As a BoxLunch Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing the best customer experience, ensuring fans can get their hands on the merch they love. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets while contributing to our mission of eliminating hunger—every $10 spent donates a meal to Feeding America.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience through product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture.
• Step in to lead on the sales floor when the Manager is unavailable, including opening and closing the store as needed.
• Process sales transactions, drive add-on sales using BOPIS and curbside pickup, and close out the register while communicating any shortages or overages.
• Understand and work toward store sales plans, comp sales goals, and key KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes, including store layout, wall, fixture, and merchandising updates.
• Share fashion trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Collaborate with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Maintain store organization, including stock room tidiness and overall store presentation.
• Help develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team to support store operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical retail tasks (with or without reasonable accommodation), including navigating the store, merchandising product, and lifting boxes up to 50 pounds.
