About the role
This position is based in Manchester, NH. The opportunity is to serve as a part-time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Southern New Hampshire University.
Responsibilities
- Coaching tasks and student athlete development
- Participate in the planning, strategy, organizing and execution of preseason, season, off-season practices
- Monitor conditioning programs
- Provide input on athlete performance and progress
- Aid in the strategic planning for individual player development
- Evaluate opponents' performance and scouting
- Develop relationships with multiple partners including students, parents, faculty, department and college staff, alumni, fans, and community members
- Recruit prospective student athletes through phone calls, texts, emails, off-campus evaluations
- Plan for events including fund raising or other special functions
- Manage social media accounts and understand marketing strategies for the program
- Administer the budget for the men's soccer program, including assessing needs for equipment, team travel, and recruiting
- Track student athlete academic progress, monitor retention numbers, and represent the athletic department at Campus Retention meetings
- Meet with at-risk student athletes, review grade reports, and assist with academic eligibility
- Be a liaison for campus services that student athletes may need (wellness, counseling, tutoring, advising)
- Coordinate with SAAC and help with the make-a-wish fundraiser
- Comply with all rules and regulations of the College, NE-IO, and NCAA
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of playing or coaching experience at the collegiate, club circuit, State OPD, or high school level in soccer
- Goalkeeper Coach experience is preferred
- Valid driver's license and eligibility to be insured by the university's auto insurance carrier to drive on campus when needed
Qualifications
- Pass the NCAA Certification exam

Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $14.43 - $23.10. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $15.95 - $21.58.
