Part-Time Art Instructor – Cary, NC

About the role

We are currently accepting applications to fill our Part Time Art Instructor position. We are looking for a certified art teacher with a minimum of 5 years' teaching experience to lead some of our camps this summer and take on classes for our school year curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead core classes for children aged from littles to teens
• Teach using a full, structured curriculum provided by the school
• Manage a class size of up to 13 students
• Assist in recruiting new students
• Work two weeknights and Saturdays
• Be available to fill in for planned absences or emergencies
• Help cover summer camps, special events, open houses, and birthday parties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a BFA
• Minimum of 5 years of in-classroom teaching experience
• Curriculum delivery experience
• Strong classroom management skills

Benefits

All supplies and a full, structured curriculum are provided. As the school is a new location, art teacher(s) will also assist the owners in recruiting new students.

Pay

$25–$35/hour (based on experience)
