Part-Time Announcer

Midwest Communications, Inc. in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a part-time announcer for an in-person role. Voice tracking is not an option.

About the role

This position includes regular air shifts, working live events, opportunities to learn new skills in audio/video production, and digital content creation. You'll enjoy a supportive team and the energy of creating entertaining content in Michigan's Capital City.

Responsibilities

• Host or assist with live radio broadcasts
• Prepare for on-air shows with research and content
• Record commercials, promos, and station announcements
• Engage listeners with energy, personality, and professionalism
• Assist with station events and promotions as needed
• Learn the day-to-day operations of a successful radio station

Requirements

• Strong, clear, and engaging voice with excellent articulation and pronunciation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both on and off-air
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weeknights and weekends
• Familiarity with broadcast equipment and audio production is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in broadcasting, journalism, or communications preferred
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required
