Part-Time Andrology Lab Technician

About the role
In this role, you will perform andrology laboratory procedures, process and analyze patient specimens, maintain accurate records, and support fertility assessments that directly impact patient care. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will help ensure the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory.
- Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies; documents all quality control activities, as well as all instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
- Follows the laboratory’s policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established, acceptable levels of performance.
- Studies and remains current and knowledgeable with the Laboratory Operating Manual regarding quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures, and operating guidelines for performing all assigned laboratory services.
- Holds a comprehensive understanding of and follows all OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operations to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
- Assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows practice, physician, and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations.
- Works cooperatively with the Company multidisciplinary teams to provide good patient care and achieves the objectives and goals of the practice.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping all patient and proprietary information confidential. Adheres to signed HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.
- Performs Andrology and Endocrine laboratory services in accordance with the Laboratory Procedure Manual.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or related field – required.
- Minimum 6 months’ laboratory training towards degree or experience in a clinical or research lab – preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate laboratory equipment, hormone analyzers, and microscopes.
- Electronic Medical Records experience – preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Schedule
This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with weekends as needed.
