Responsibilities
- Teach Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology courses to students enrolled in the Nursing program
- Develop and deliver engaging online and/or in-person lectures and labs
- Assess student learning through various methods including quizzes, exams, and assignments
- Maintain accurate records and timely submission of grades
- Participate in curriculum development and course improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Engage with students through office hours and other forms of outreach
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related field required
- Minimum of 15-18 graduate semester credits in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, or a related life science discipline required
- Prior higher education teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology courses required
- Experience teaching online synchronous classes required
- Experience with Canvas LMS is a plus
Qualifications
- Strong communication, organization, and student engagement skills preferred
Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Proficiency in using Canvas Learning Management System
