Part-Time AM (1ST SHIFT) Resident Care Assistant - 32 hrs a pay period
About the role
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated team player who is willing to work a part-time AM schedule 6:30AM - 2:30PM with rotating weekends. This is a position within our Skilled Department at a 24/7 community. The schedule consists of four 8.5‑hour shifts per pay period, guaranteeing 32 hours per pay check. Additional shifts are available to pick‑up. Example schedule: Week 1 – Sunday & Thursday 6:30 am‑2:30 pm; Week 2 – Monday & Saturday 6:30 am‑2:30 pm. We offer shift differentials.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits to the best of their abilities while promoting their dignity, independence, self‑determination, privacy, choice, and rights.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders.
- Identify residents’ physical and cognitive changes, making appropriate follow‑up decisions, documentation, and communication to appropriate associates.
- Assist residents with leisure time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
- Assist with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1‑2+ years of caregiving experience preferred.
Skills
- Ability to show compassion and empathy toward residents and associates.
Pay
Minimum USD $18.00 per hour; Maximum USD $19.00 per hour.
Schedule
Part‑time AM shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM with rotating weekends. Four 8.5‑hour shifts per pay period (≈32 hours guaranteed). Additional shifts available for pick‑up. Example schedule: Week 1 – Sunday & Thursday 6:30 am‑2:30 pm; Week 2 – Monday & Saturday 6:30 am‑2:30 pm.
