Part Time After School Instructor--Towson

About the role

Trellis Services is hiring instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 9 to 21) diagnosed with autism in our Baltimore County After School Program. This part-time position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Great entry level position and resume builder for someone looking to start their career in Special Education!

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of experienced Case Managers
• Gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
• Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure

Schedule & location

• Program located in Towson 21286
• Program open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3:00pm–7:00pm and Wednesday 2:00pm–7:00pm
• Flexible schedules available; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
• Additional opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties

Pay & benefits

• $19/hr
• Participation in 401K plan

Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• The ability to pass a background check
• Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
• Reliable transportation / Valid Driver's License / Current Auto Insurance
• Willing to transport clients in personal vehicle
• Physical requirements: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, move quickly, sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run according to client needs
