About the role
The Uncommon Thread (TUT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disorders. Founded in 2007, TUT provides top-tier Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and services across various settings including centers, homes, schools, and communities. Services are tailored for children aged 18 months to 5 years, with all ABA programs supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior plans based on data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective interventions.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records of each child's treatment plan.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new research.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in ABA therapy or related field.
- A current BCBA certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
$75.00 - $90.00 per hour
Schedule
Part-time positions available in Piscataway, Woodbridge, Old Bridge, Plainfield, Scotch Plains, Martinsville, and Warren.
