About the role
Our Nuclear Service Group is seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant for our Overland Park, KS location. In this role, you will help ensure office operations run smoothly while providing quality customer service and general administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Front Desk & Customer Support:
- Cover the reception desk area as required.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to questions and requests from internal and external customers.
- Office Administration & Documentation:
- Maintain contact lists, departmental handbooks, and procedures.
- Carry out administrative duties including filing, copying, binding, and scanning.
- Provide general office support.
- Reporting, Scheduling & Employee Coordination:
- Prepare and generate regularly scheduled reports (e.g., access control reports).
- Maintain department calendars and coordinate upcoming meetings.
- Ensure new employees have the materials needed on their first day.
- Facilities, Equipment & Supply Management:
- Maintain office and break room inventory by anticipating needed supplies for employees (nameplate, etc.), placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipts.
- Ensure proper operation of office equipment, including copiers, coffee machines, and water filtration systems, by coordinating maintenance and service requests.
- Financial & Logistics Support:
- Prepare and submit invoices for approval and follow up to ensure timely payment.
- Prepare outgoing mail and shipments as needed.
- Meetings, Events & Catering Support:
- Assist with the organization, setup, and cleanup of meetings, special events, and catering arrangements as needed.
- Provide backup support for the Catering Administrative Assistant.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in an applicable field and minimum 3 years of experience, or High School diploma and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to be proactive.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
