Part-Time Adjunct - School of Art and Design
About the role
The WVU School of Art & Design at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time Adjunct positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The College offers Graduate Programs including MFA, MA in Art Education, MA in Game Design (online), and Studio Art MA, as well as Undergraduate Programs such as BFA in Art and Design, BFA in Art Education, BA in Art History and Museum Professions, and BA in Art Therapy. Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Art and Design, Art Education, Game Design, Studio Art, Art History and Museum Professions, and Art Therapy.
- Develop and deliver high-quality course content aligned with program goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant academic disciplines and pedagogical practices.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements
- Master’s or doctoral degree in a closely related field.
- Substantial, highly specialized industry experience in lieu of a master’s degree.
- Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty and staff.
