About the INSC Program
At HU, the ABET-accredited B.S. in Computer and Information Science program focuses on the science behind the coolest gadgets and gear on the market. It involves the skeletons of today’s most powerful websites, and is the root of tomorrow’s most rewarding careers. Technology at Harrisburg University is more than just computer screens and keyboards. It’s a hands-on study of the complex information systems and peripherals that power our world and shape our future. All CISC undergraduate students will complete the CISC program core courses. Students work with their academic advisors to craft an appropriate program of study which provides personal training in subject and skill areas that align with their career goals, interests, and personal strengths.
The curriculum does not limit the students to a pre-defined set of concentration courses, however, a CISC student must successfully complete 15 credit hours of CISC 300 and 400-level courses with a minimum of 6 credits of 400-level courses to graduate. The offerings of the CISC program provide the students with opportunities to deepen their skills and knowledge of cognate areas in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering.
