Part Time Activities Aide (Tues/Thurs)

About the Role

As a Part-time Activities Aide, you will lead and participate in recreational activities—such as arts and crafts, music therapy, and games—to promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being among our patients. You will also assist with daily living activities, meal planning, and provide emotional support to our patients and their families. Your passion for empowering individuals and fostering a sense of community will be invaluable to our team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in recreational activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, games, and other community-based programs
• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring the dietary needs of our patients are met
• Provide emotional support and companionship to our patients and their families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient progress and provide input to identify and address individual needs

Requirements

• Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certifications in a related field (e.g., recreation therapy, gerontology) preferred
• Ability to work Tuesdays and Thursdays, with flexibility to work additional shifts as needed
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Schedule

Part-time, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM.
