Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one coaching to students, focusing on study techniques, time management, and strategies for mastering biological concepts and skills.
- Actively promote tutoring and student success coaching services on and off campus for biology, encouraging students to seek assistance and utilize the robust services The EXCELerator
- Support the Director in developing marketing strategies to increase participation in academic support services in biology.
- Work closely with faculty, advisors, and other campus departments on biology courses, ensuring students have access to comprehensive academic support resources.
- Participate in campus-wide initiatives aimed at improving student retention and success in biology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proficiency in introductory through advanced undergraduate biology topics, including laboratory skills and safety procedures.
- At least 6 months of experience teaching, tutoring, or providing academic support services to high school or community college students.
