About the role

Founded in 1999, Brightmont Academy helps students from 1st to 12th grade unlock their full potential through one‑on‑one instruction. With 27 campuses across the country, we create a personalized, nurturing learning environment where each student thrives. The Homework Studio is independent learning time to supplement one‑to‑one instruction sessions; students have access to computers and a quiet work area. This supervised study lab offers the opportunity to complete coursework‑related assignments, practice good study habits, build executive function skills, and/or sit for exams. The Homework Studio coach oversees students and motivates them to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one‑on‑one, tailoring lessons to their unique needs and learning styles.
• Guide students to mastery with a gradual release approach that builds confidence and academic success.
• Oversee students in the Homework Studio and motivate them to complete their tasks.
• Focus on inspiring students (no lesson planning, parent conferences, or endless grading).

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion!).
• Patience & Empathy: You understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.
• A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G‑Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check.
