Part Time (24 hours/week) Mobile Health Nurse Practitioner - MedStar Health

About the Role

MedStar Health’s Mobile Health Center provides primary care, urgent care, wellness exams, on‑site testing, and addresses social determinants of health for vulnerable patients across Baltimore. This part‑time (0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week) Family Nurse Practitioner will staff the South Baltimore mobile unit Monday‑Thursday and provide occasional coverage for a second unit in North Baltimore.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care, urgent care, and wellness services to patients of all ages as the sole medical provider on the mobile unit.
• Perform on‑site testing and address social determinants of health needs.
• Travel to four regular locations throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
• Provide coverage Monday‑Thursday with set hours (see Schedule) and occasional half‑day shifts on a Friday or weekend for community events.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes a registrar, community health advocate, and medical assistant/phlebotomist.
• Maintain high‑quality clinical care despite potential technology or connectivity limitations in the mobile environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Family Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, emergency room, urgent care, FQHC, or other community health settings.
• Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Ability to provide care for all age groups, including complex acute and chronic conditions.
• Availability Monday‑Thursday with occasional weekend availability (approximately one half‑day per month).
• Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
• Advanced credentials such as DNP, MBA, MHA, or MPH preferred.

Schedule

Monday: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm; Tuesday‑Thursday: 9:30 am – 4:00 pm. Approximately one half‑day per month on a Friday or weekend for community events. Part‑time (0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week).

Pay

USD $55.29 – $91.35 per hour, based on experience.
