Part-Time 10th-11th Grade English Tutor (Del Valle, TX)

Study Smart is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity, access, and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families, and educators. Its mission is grounded in closing opportunity gaps and empowering communities through high‑quality, culturally responsive academic support. The organization offers an array of college access courses at no cost to students or their families and partners with schools, outreach programs, and other college‑and‑career access organizations to deliver efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom‑based test preparation.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to 10th‑11th grade students.
• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Access and utilize information about class assignments.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students.

Qualifications

• Completed 4‑year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Schedule

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 AM to 1:45 PM PST.

Pay

Excellent rate of pay: $40 per hour.

Paid onboarding/training/preparation/support: $22.00 per hour.
