Part or Full-Time Associate Veterinarian

About the role

Pioneer Animal Hospital in Leavenworth is growing and seeks an associate veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys practicing good medicine, values teamwork, and wants to work in a positive, supportive environment. Experience with exotic animal medicine is desired.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on cases, share ideas, and support one another
• Practice thorough medicine and build strong client relationships
• Support a diverse caseload including small animals and exotic pets
• Offer a range of services such as laser therapy, behavior consultations, and advanced pain management
• Participate in structured mentorship tailored to experience level and interests
• Work flexible hours, including at least one Saturday per month

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent)
• Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Kansas
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine and surgery
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Passion for continued professional development and learning

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary medicine
• Knowledge of exotic animal medicine
• Ability to work in a supportive, low-drama environment

Pay

Competitive base salary within a range determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors.

Schedule

The ideal candidate works at least one Saturday per month, with flexibility important to us.
