Responsibilities

  • Accomplish all variations of park marking parts and assemblies per the TPS process specification.
  • Present partial work steps and completions to QC.
  • Learn and perform basic computer skills using Microsoft Windows or Mac OS software.
  • Perform assigned work utilizing job travelers and working within budgeted hours and within FAA and the Company’s standards of quality.
  • Ensure use of proper procedures, manual references, and proper tools in accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • Learn and comprehend detailed blueprints, follow drawing trees and parent/child relationships, and read and understand revision status.
  • Interpret drawings and implement requirements into an actual article.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation, including Operations and PMT Travelers in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Use AutoCAD and Graphics software, with assistance at times.
  • Learn and perform basic engraving of placards and panels using the Hermes 2:1 pantograph machine or equivalent.
  • Learn to operate the Park Marking machine under supervision/trainer.
  • Learn all FAA and Company document/paperwork requirements to correctly Part Mark parts and complete paperwork.
  • Learn to utilize OLE to access and understand blueprints under supervision/trainer.
  • Learn to use OLE, MDL, and historical data to verify PMA or Non-PMA of parts under supervision/trainer.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have own tools as required by company tool list.
  • Read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, etc.
  • Minimum of 6 months shop experience in a similar environment.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Subject to continual loud noises.
  • Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time; climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.
  • Must be able to safely work around hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins, and adhesives.
