Responsibilities
- Maintaining a neat, clean appearance in all public areas of the Hotel, including hallways, lobbies, dining rooms, etc.
- Reporting any necessary repairs
- Dusting and cleaning furniture
- Cleaning all mens' rooms
- Emptying trash, vacuuming, emptying ash trays
- Finishing late checkout rooms and periodically helping to clean other guest rooms
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Similar work experience is helpful, but not necessary.
- Friendly personality and neat appearance.
- Considerable walking involved with some heavy lifting and pushing required.
- Must be able to communicate with guests.
- Ability to work independently and be motivated.
- Job Demands:
- Normal working hours will be 1st shift (hours vary depending upon housecount); weekends and holidays.
- Two days off will vary.
- Proper footwear to be provided by employee.
- Will be working around cleaning chemicals.
- This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on seniority. The candidate must be able to meet scheduled requirements which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
